All students are expected to act in a mature and responsible manner at all times. They are to treat fellow students, teaching and non-teaching faculty members with respect. Indiscipline and violation of the code of Conduct will be viewed seriously and appropriate action will be taken against the offender. Students are expected to be familiar with the rules and regulations mentioned in the student handbook and comply with the same. The code of conduct is as listed below:

  • Students are expected to help safeguard the property of the College and assist in the maintenance of a clean and healthy college environment.
  • Polythene bags are banned in the campus and students are expected not to bring in such items and avoid littering.
  • Smoking, consumption of alcohol, possession or use of illegal drugs and weapons on the college premises is strictly prohibited and will be dealt with in the most severe manner.
  • Students are not permitted to bring two-wheelers, motorbikes, and scooters to College.
  • Deliberate damage or one due to negligence to any college buildings, laboratory equipment or any property belonging to the college will be severely dealt with and will call for appropriate disciplinary action.
  • Viewing, reading, displaying or distributing pornographic materials inside the college and accessing Internet sites that do not correlate to any specific subject or course within the college or misuse of the internet facility in any other way is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate expulsion.
  • Borrowing of identity cards is not permissible, ID cards must be on the student at all times.
  • Sporting of tattoos and un-groomed facial hair, long hair or having unacceptable haircuts/styles for boys is prohibited. Use of excessive make-up by girls is not permitted. Inappropriately dyed/colored hair is not permitted.
  • Students have to be in the class by the time the warning bell is sounded. Late comers will not be permitted in the classroom except if there is a genuine/valid reason for the delay. Students, who arrive late by more than ten minutes, will have to report to the Coordinator before being permitted to enter the class with a permission note. Disciplinary action will be taken as per the college rules against students who repeatedly come late or try to enter class without proper authorization.
  • Healthy interactions among the students are acceptable. However, acts or gestures which are of offensive nature including public display of physical intimacy are not permissible.
  • Students are not permitted to carry a mobile phone to the classroom; it has to be deposited in the allotted locker on arrival to college. If found within the classroom, the mobile phone will be confiscated for at least three months.
  • Plagiarism will be treated as cheating, and is strongly discouraged.
  • Fighting, bullying, threatening and any kind of harassment of fellow students will be dealt with severely.
  • Insubordination and indiscipline by the students towards any teaching or non- teaching members will result in disciplinary action.
  • Graffiti or defacement of college property will result in disciplinary action.
  • Students must refrain from using abusive language or showing mannerism that is disrespectful or inappropriate.
  • Sexual assaults or any kind of harassment is inexcusable and will be considered a major breach of the code of conduct.
  • Students are not permitted to visit hotels, restaurants, cinema halls, parks, shopping malls, etc. in college uniform during college hours.
  • No student shall be permitted to evade classes or leave the premises without the written permission (gate pass) of a concerned authority.
  • Students must have their parents/guardians inform the college administration in case the student cannot attend college due to any unavoidable circumstances.
  • 1t is mandatory for all students to attend all internal exams conducted by the college and must obtain passing grades. Students who have not attended internal exams or not met the minimum pass criteria will be barred from attending board exams unless they qualify.
  • 1t is mandatory for students to have at least 90% attendance of the total teaching hours or else they will be barred from attending the board examinations.
  • Students are required to complete all the project work, practical work, class and home assignments promptly and submit it within due dates.
  • It is the responsibility of the students to respect each other’s views and help settle any dispute amicably through mediation so as to create a conducive teaching- learning environments any dispute must be resolved through dialogue and may be mediated by the discipline committee.
