SF-36 Survey Application

Based on RAND Health Care SF-36 Health Survey, the 36-Item Short Form Survey (SF-36) is a widely used health survey that assesses an individual's health status and quality of life.

SF-36 is a widely used health survey that measures a person's overall health and quality of life across physical, mental, and social wellbeing. It contains 36 questions covering areas such as physical functioning, pain, general health, energy, emotional well-being, and social functioning.

Mr. Narayan Gautam, PhD Scholar, Medical Science, Kathmandu University College of Medical Sciences, provided the English documentation and SF-36 details. PCPS College has developed an Android-based mobile application for the Nepali-language SF-36 survey focused on Beta Thalassemia and Chronic Hepatic Diseases.

The application helps researchers gather data through a simple, accessible interface. After completion, it generates a report summarising responses and scores for each of the eight health domains.
