With the motive of bringing the two families together through sports, the participants at Patan College for Professional Studies (kupondole) and College for Professional Studies (Maitidevi) collaborated to mark the sports week for 2018. The event was held from March 29 to April 13, 2018.

Both the colleges are an initiative of Lord Buddha Education Foundation (LBEF).

Starting from March 29, the sports week featured varied indoor and outdoor games to suit the student’s preferences. The major highlights of indoor games were Chess and Table Tennis. Outdoor games included basketball, badminton, cricket and football.

The début event of sports week was basketball tournament whereby, PCPS Basketball team was able to secure victory.

The winner of the Table Tennis tournament was Saroj Chapagain from PCPS.

The winner for the Badminton tournament was Milan Singh from PCPS.

For Chess, the winner was Niranjan Shrestha from LBEF.

Football amongst other sports was able to gather the highest number of spectators. The venue of the event was at Laboratory playground of Tribhuvan University.

The knockout tournament selected the top two finalist team. At the finals, the LBEF football team bagged the trophy with a winning score of 2- 0.

For the final sport of sports week 2018, it was the cricket tournament. PCPS and CPS teams played with full sportsmanship. PCPS won the tournament by 1 wicket.

The Chairman of LBEF, Group of Institutions Er. Pankaj Jalan awarded the winners with trophies, medals, certificates and cash prize.
